Communal Care Centre for HIV/AIDS is a membership organization for people living with and affect by HIV/AIDS formed in 2004 by the Executive Director following the rate of deaths resulting from stigma and discrimination, myths and misconceptions associated with HIV/AIDS in our communities at that period.  With the fund for leadership development she received from the MacArthur Foundation in 2004 she started HIV intervention program in Oguta Imo State, creating awareness through advocacy, sensitization, training and mobilizing support to care for people living with HIV/AIDS. She also provided a one-stop-shop centre for HIV counseling, testing and referral, aimed at mitigating on deaths associated with HIV/AIDS in the community. 

Subsequently Communal Care Centre for HIV/AIDS was registered with the Oguta LGA and received funding from the Collaborative Fund for HIV/AIDS Treatment preparedness in 2007 through International Community of Women living with HIV/AIDS (ICW+) to address the issue of treatment adherence in the state.  From 2008–2010 CCC was funded by Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA) to implement HIV intervention activities and comprehensive care and support program for Orphans and Vulnerable Children. From June 2011–June 2014 CCC was supported by Management Sciences for Health (MSH/Cubs). She was further funded by Centre for Clinical Care and Research Nigeria (CCFN) from 2014 to 2016 to provide support to OVC within Orlu and Owerri zones of the state.  Communal Care Centre is currently being funded by Catholic Caritas Foundation to also support OVC in 4 LGAs in Imo State and ActionAid Nigeria to end socio-cultural norms and practices fueling violence against women and girls.

In addition, Communal Care Centre also received funding support from the Global Fund to fight HIV, TB and Malaria (Global fund Round 9 and 10) through Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH), Network of people living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN), Civil Society for HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (CISHAN), Association for Orphans and Vulnerable Children NGOs in Nigeria (AONN) and Association of Civil Society on Malaria, Immunization and Nutrition in Nigeria (ACOMIN).

CCC is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Imo State Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender and Social Development; she also partners with relevant government agencies eg. Imo State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS, State Ministry of Health, National Population Commission and various departments at the Local Government Areas (Health, social welfare, Education etc). 

CCC is a member of different networks in the state namely; Civil Society for HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (CISHAN), Association for Orphans and Vulnerable Children NGOs in Nigeria (AONN), Imo State Committee on ending Violence Against Women and Girls, Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN), Civil Society on Malaria, Immunization and Nutrition in Nigerian (ACOMIN), Child Protection Network (CPN), Association of Women and Children Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (SOWCHAN), Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN) etc.
